Alongside offering therapy, I’m a qualified supervisor available to offer clinical supervision. I hold a Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision and practice using the seven-eyed model of supervision. I work in private practice with adult clients, so I have a particular interest in supporting private practitioners.
My goal in supervision is to create a space for us to think collaboratively about your client work, where you feel safe and trusting enough to share openly and non-defensively and you are able to learn and grow as a therapist. At the heart of supervisory work is bringing our shared focus to your clients and what they are experiencing, as well as how you might be processing or affected by what you hear. I want to bring your attention not just to how you work with client issues, but why: your rationale, your understanding of yourself as a practitioner and your direction of travel. The seven-eyed model allows us to use our relational experience in supervision for the benefit of client work as well: how you present to me – and me to you – matters and might prove fruitful for deepening your understanding of your work.
If you’d like to find out more, I suggest an initial call of 20-30 minutes, free of charge, for us to discuss your supervision needs and to give you a chance to ask me any questions you may have and for me to gain a sense of where you’re at in your work.

Supervisor
I have held a diploma in The Practice of Supervision, awarded by the Leeds Centre for Psychological Development, since 2023 and prior to this I completed a number of supervision training modules with Place2Be and supervised counsellors in training as part of my role as a School Project Manager.
I qualified from York St Johns University with a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy in 2012. This was a Humanistic / Person-Centred based integrative course that encouraged us to develop our own integrative humanistic practice, drawing on theories from other modalities to enrich and inform our way of working. My practice now is still very much informed by humanistic theory but with psychodynamic theory and attachment theory woven in, particularly as a way of understanding the relational dynamics in a client’s world and the relationship between myself and a client.
I have experience of working as a therapist within several organisations, working as a school based counsellor and manager of the school counselling service as well as working in my own private practice for the last 10 years. In addition to my counselling work I have delivered in-house training for Place2Be as well as co-training on a Level 4 course for working with children and young people within Place2Be.
I believe supervision should meet you where you are in your practice and I offer a space in which you can feel safe, supported and held but which also allows for challenge and learning where necessary. My hope is to provide a supervision relationship within which you can discuss all aspects of your client work, be curious about and explore the relationships between you and your clients and gain insight into yourself as a therapist.
I offer collaborative supervision that supports and encourages you to grow and develop as a therapist whilst also upholding safe and ethical practice.

Supervisor
I qualified with an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy in 2013 and have worked as a therapist within the NHS, and in the charity and higher education sectors. I have a Certificate in Supervision and am a trained Schwartz Round facilitator. I have worked as clinical lead and manager of a university counselling service, also providing monthly group supervision to specialist mental health mentors. I have provided individual and group supervision to hospice and primary care staff in the NHS, in addition to facilitating
Schwartz Rounds.
In my private practice, I now offer reflective supervision to non-counselling professionals, for example, senior clinicians, managers and practitioners working in health and social care. These sessions provide an opportunity to reflect on the emotional and psychological impact of the work in this sector, exploring the challenges but without a focus on solving problems or on the clinical/technical aspects. This type of support can be particularly helpful for people who work in highly pressurised environments, including those supporting survivors of trauma, and who (unlike counsellors) may not routinely have access to supervision as part of their work or who do not feel comfortable seeking support through their employer. Sessions are offered on an individual, ongoing basis, usually monthly, but can also be offered as time-limited sessions in response to a particular work-related challenge.
I also offer reflective supervision alongside professional mentoring to qualified therapists who want to develop their practice as they move towards accreditation. Drawing on my experience as a therapist, supervisor and service manager within
organisational settings, I provide a supportive space to help navigate the realities of seeking paid roles and working in services. These sessions may suit therapists who have mainly worked in voluntary roles or private practice and who are looking for guidance, insight, and practical support to take the next step. These sessions usually sit alongside clinical supervision.
